MORE ABOUT B.C. ROBOTICS

Blount County Robotics 4504 started out in 2013 with just a few people coming together to do what they love. Little did they know that it would grow into the thriving team it is today. Our dedicated members enjoy meeting often for different events and activities. Passion and enthusiasm go hand-in-hand with everything we do. Our door is always open to new members, no matter their experience level. We are proud to bring together people from all over Blount County. Team Captain

Ashley Parrish

Ashley is a senior who joined robotics because she aspires to become an aerospace engineer. She works with all sub-team leaders to make the robotics team work as smoothly and efficiently as possible. She spends her free time participating in track and field and in ASL Honors Society. This year, Ashley hopes to create a welcoming and encouraging environment for the robotics team.

Impact Sub-team Captain

Arowyn Casenhiser

Arowyn is a junior who joined Robotics in the 8th grade. She loves studying biology and chemistry and enjoys playing piano in her free time. In her first year as impact captain, Arowyn hopes she can inspire young students throughout her community to pursue and love STEM as much as BC Robotics does.

Electrical Sub-team Captain

Deep Patel

Deep is a junior who joined BC Robotics in his 8th grade year. He joined for his love of STEM and found his place in the electrical sub-team. This is his third year in robotics and his second year as the electrical sub-team captain. He enjoys teaching and works on STEM projects outside of robotics using CAD, 3-D printing, and Arduino. His goals for this year are for all members to have a full understanding of the electrical system and to make sure everyone has a role in the sub-team.

Safety Sub-team Captain

Kailey Blevins

Kailey joined BC Robotics at the end of her sophomore under the mechanical sub team. She is now a junior and finds joy both in engineering and in keeping our team safe. When she is not working in the shop, Kailey enjoys babysitting, helping at her church, and working at her job.

Programming Sub-team Captain

Cash Coffman

Cash is a freshman at Maryville Junior High School. Ever since he was young, he has always had an interest in computers and engineering. When he discovered BC Robotics, he knew that this was the perfect place for him to express his lifelong interest in computers and engineering. He has been an active member since 2022. He is the programming sub-team lead. His job is to facilitate the development of the code the team uses for the robot. But more importantly he is responsible for creating an open environment where everyone on the sub team feels welcome and involved. Outside of robotics, he enjoys reading, programming, and playing video games

Design Sub-team Captain

Gavin Good

Gavin is a senior who joined robotics 4 years ago to gain a more hands-on approach to STEM. He has been on the Mechanical sub-team and is leading the new design team this year. Outside of robotics, Gavin enjoys hiking, playing video games, and riding motorcycles. This year, Gavin hopes to build and integrate a successful design team for years to follow.

Jeremy Jarman

Jeremy is a senior who joined BC Robotics' mechanical team in 9th grade to continue his journey from his FIRST Lego League team. In his first year as a sub-team lead, he hopes to help the members of his team learn new things that will help them in whatever path their life takes them.

Peter Hoppenrath

Peter is has been a part of BC Robotics since 2021. Peter always loved STEM because of two great interests in his life: aerospace engineering and LEGO. His main goal as a sub-team lead this season is to create a space for all STEM students to enjoy their work and inspire them to be their best.
